I had initially started the program to support my friend, Mission_Lifetime, little did I know that I was opening a door to a new found love of cooking, eating right and working out. I was also in place in my life where I was really unhappy physically but also emotionally. The moment that broke me was when I tried to squeeze into a pair of pants that I KNEW didn’t fit but wore anyways. That morning I was so uncomfortable, that I went to the mall during my break and grabbed what I thought was my size and I had to get a size bigger. My heart was broken but I knew that I did it to myself. Feeling all those emotions of anger, self-pity and sadness – I I knew that I had to make a change. This program has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. My goal was to lose weight but I’ve gained so much more. My mind has shifted from focusing on my failures and shortcomings to being positive and making progress in my daily life like meal prepping and finding a balance between working and my personal life. This is a lifestyle change and with all changes, they don’t come easy – they are a work in progress. I want to encourage and motivate others in finding the daily balance in life while exploring the endless possibilities of fitness and healthy eating together.
I became a warrior because of the community and Massy’s message to all women, its about progress, not perfection. I want to support and encourage others the way other warriors have encouraged and supported me. When I first started this program I had some many questions, and if it wasn’t for my friend and other warriors, it would have been more challenging. Everyone needs a cheerleader, someone they can reach out to when they are having a moment of weakness or just talk to about their day. I had to make a lot of choices and it was easier to chat to someone who was in the same position as me. I would love to be your partner in your fit journey.
